However, Drop.io has Failed on me:

This file can not be downloaded at this time.

The file iStat Menus Installer.zip has reached its download limit. Files in non-premium drops can only be downloaded 1000 times, both to prevent abuse and because at very high download rates our service becomes prohibitively expensive. If you need to download this file, ask the drop's administrator to remove this download limit by upgrading this drop, either through drop.io manager or a one-time upgrade.

Re: A Moment In Stats: iStat Menus and Snow Leopard Shoot Skyward

The iStat Menus beta is now available for download. Most of ISTAT menu users will not hesitate to run beta's. We got so use to this great tool that we can not use a "standard" finder menu bar. Specially people who switched from PC to Apple mis the knowledge of the hard disk activity.

Re: A Moment In Stats: iStat Menus and Snow Leopard Shoot Skyward

The tech industry needs a boost and Apple is only 8% of the market. I am sure that the new WIN7 will get some companies back into purchase mode. Not everyone needs a Mac.

Re: A Moment In Stats: iStat Menus and Snow Leopard Shoot Skyward

Releasing a new version of an OS, with kernal enhancements, rewrites of slower and/or buggy code to improve performance, etc... it is pretty hard (next to impossible) to release a new major version (10.5, 10.6) that doesn't break compatibility with at least some programs. I don't blame Apple for this at all.

However, it would be nice if iSlayer was more lenient on their beta program. I love that I can tell TextMate to do "Cutting-Edge" updates, or tell Adium to stay on beta releases. Granted, Adium is open source, but TextMate is not and the fact that they allow you to control how dangeresque you want to be is excellent.

Please, iSlayer, open your beta program a bit more! :)

Re: A Moment In Stats: iStat Menus and Snow Leopard Shoot Skyward

The combination SL and Istat Menu something I and probably many people need. Apple should have made the change from L to SL without having applications to be rewritten. But they needed some thing before Windows 7 comes out.
